I wanted to say a quick hello again.
I have had a few new followers recently (thank you and welcome) so thought I should reintroduce myself.
I’m Rebecca, Becky, Becks… all work & are regularly used.

Since founding my interior design business, Weave Interiors 6 years ago I have had the pleasure of transforming homes in Herts, Beds and Bucks, as well as Brighton. I have also worked on rental properties in the Cotswolds & a chalet in France.

I love that my work is varied, there have been large construction projects, open plan areas and single room designs and also smaller jobs, like paint consultations and styling work.

I haven’t always been an interior designer but there are a surprisingly large number of transferable skills from my previous career as a primary school teacher- communication and organisation being a couple. I have also always loved helping people.

I love to travel, my shortest trip was 36 hours in Latvia and my longest was backpacking for 7 months with my now husband. We have since had lots of adventures together and I love seeking out great design and inspiration abroad, always bring something back that is often a challenge to pack.

A few other facts-
I am regularly asked how tall I am- the answer is 6ft.
I am half Swedish.
I am a mother of three, two boys and a girl, and we recently added a dog into the mix.
I love nature, especially being near woods and water- but I live the furthest away from the sea possible in the UK.

I value kindness, honesty and authenticity. They underpin everything I do in my design business.

Is there anything people always ask you about yourself?

Happy International Women’s Day!

I’m grateful for the amazing women in my life who inspire, support, work hard, uplift, and love.

My business wouldn’t be where it is today—six years in—without the network of women I’ve had the privilege to know.

Today, I want to acknowledge and thank the women who came before me and those who continue to teach me so much.

My wonderful Nana, who was strong-willed, determined, and ahead of her time—running her own business when it was far less common for women to do so. She was also incredibly loving and brought so much joy as Great Grandma to my children.

To my lovely Mum, who is always there when we need her—thank you. Leaving Sweden at 19, she stepped into the unknown, far from everything and everyone she knew before, building a new life with the friendship and support of strong women around her.

To my beautiful female friends who cheer each other on and to the inspiring women in my Women’s Group—a space where support, strength, and wisdom are shared—thank you. Women supporting women is a powerful thing.

And finally, to my little girl—who is growing stronger every day, beginning to carve out her own path, and teaching me more than she knows—be brave, my love.

For my daughter and for girls everywhere, I hope we keep moving toward a world that is truly fair, inclusive, and diverse—a world free from bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

We still have such a long way to go.

I appreciate anyone who decides to put their trust in me to help them design an aspect of their home, from projects as large as a whole house down to a paint consultation. Thank you.

Thank you to anyone who also took the time to give Weave Interiors a review, mention my design business to a friend or agree to be a reference for someone who may be considering working with Weave Interiors.

It means a great deal to a small, independent business.
Thank you!

Feeling chuffed.

Hallways set the tone for the rest of your house & welcome your guests.
Most importantly though, they welcome you home.
Don’t under estimate how you want that to feel.

This is after, swipe for some before shots, including the art work we reframed.

It’s good to make a great first impression.

My lovely client was delighted at the difference this hallway refresh made as part of a bigger project recently.

I love it when clients agree to bespoke carpentry, because I know the benefits it brings and enjoy designing it- looking at how we can make it work best for them.
I work with some superb, talented tradespeople on my projects and the transformation that comes with great carpentry is one of my favourites.

So why do I love it?

•It will fit your space seamlessly, making it useful for even tricky spaces. 30% more space efficient.

•It will also meet your storage needs perfectly- best to consider what you’re going to store and personalise it to meet your requirements. Do you need pull out shelves or hide and slide doors, do you want lighting or internal sockets?

•It can be designed display special items or conceal others.

•You get to choose the details, the handles, the way it closes, door styles and it can be designed to fit in with your existing furniture.

•It is made to last a lifetime.

Of course there is the initial outlay- often more than off the peg pieces, but it can add value to your home if you sell it in the future.

There are obviously different price points depending on whether you want a sprayed finish or choose to paint it yourself (always varnish for a harder wearing finish). The type of wood affects the price too, in this small project MDF was used as it was a simple design and now there is the flexibility to easily change the colour in the future.

What do you think? Have you had or would you consider bespoke carpentry?
